Octagon Summer Series – Seaside Edition Concludes with Great Success

The Octagon Summer Series – Seaside Edition concluded with outstanding success on July 4, 2026, at the Stavros Amphitheater, Thessaloniki, bringing together athletes and martial arts enthusiasts in a unique international sporting event.

The event was co-organized by the Positive Energy Athletic Club, led by Paris Parisidis, and the Octagon Fighting Show, led by Antonis Giannakidis.

A total of 160 athletes from 10 countries participated in the competition, representing Greece, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania, Syria, Cyprus, Armenia, Germany, and Hungary. They competed in 70 matches across the disciplines of Octagon MMA, Octagon Grappling, and Octagon Striking, delivering exciting performances and showcasing a high level of sportsmanship and technical skill.

The event was officiated by the Martial Arts and Combat Sports Referees Association, ensuring the proper implementation of the competition rules and the safety of all participants.

The event was honored by the presence of representatives of the local authorities, demonstrating their support for initiatives that promote sport, international cooperation, and friendship among nations.

The competition was held under the auspices of the International Self Defense Organization (ISDO) and the International Budokai Union (IBU).

A special honor was the attendance of Andreas Antoniou, IBU Representative for Cyprus, the IBU Representative from North Macedonia, as well as Ismail Seven, the newly appointed IBU Representative for Komotini, further highlighting the international character of the event.
